Chanel Pepite & Lilac Sky

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Today I have one of my very favorite combinations for you: Chanel Pepite over Chanel Lilac Sky. I think Lilac Sky is still around, Pepite was an Asian exclusive that I really have no idea about the availability of. Pepite is a sparkly little carnival of color, and the pics don't do it justice - the color and sparkle change with each movement.

This is two coats of Lilac Sky topped with one of Pepite.

Chanel Gold Fiction & Konad M66

Good morning, Dear Reader!

I thought I'd just resume High End Week today, and what better way to start it off than with Chanel Gold Fiction! This is a great gold, a two-coater for me, and I committed the crime of Konading over it...

I used one of the giant patterns from plate M66, one that goes over all the nails. I did a little water flower on my thumbs and the big pattern over the other four fingers. It's not perfect, but I think it looks pretty dang cool! I even have a lurchy picture of my right hand for you.

I used Black Konad Special Nail Polish for the stamping, and I'm really, really pleased with this manicure. I keep peeking at it!

China Glaze DV8

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Today I'm back to the glitter/holo theme with a great one from China Glaze's OMG Collection, DV8. I was going to Konad it, but I like it too well on its own to mess with it. I just wish my nails were longer so more of the holo showed!

I know a lot of people have had application issues with the OMGs, with them going on uneven, leaving bald spots, good fun like that. I used Nubar Foundation base coat under this, and it was sticky enough to hold the polish without being so sticky it caused dragging and the dreaded bald spots. This is two coats over the base with a top coat.

This is one of my favorite holos, so it was good to have a reason to take it out and wear it again!
