The Divine Japanese Zebra & Coraline Konad News!

Good afternoon, Dear Reader!

I've been offline and fighting with the phone company about my internet service since 7:00 am.  Ugh!

Before I began that battle, I did my Konadicure of the Day.  I didn't have the heart to remove my Japanese DS Divine, so I put the zebra stamp from plate M57 on it, and filled in the gap with tips from plate M19.  Here she is!

The other bit of news I discovered before my internet connection died was that wowsocool  has the Coraline Konad sets up for presale!  Each set has different plates, so I'm getting both.  They look cool as heck.  I just thought I'd let you know they're there so you can get them as soon as they come out!

That's all for now, Dear Reader.  Until next time, love and nail polish to you!

OPI DS Divine - Japanese vs US Versions

Good evening, Dear Reader!

Why, oh, why, does OPI do this to me?  Look what they've done!  Here I have two clearly different polishes...

Why am I holding these two bottles together?  Let's look at the labels...

Do you see the little "JP" after the number on the left bottle?  OPI has done it again!  They've released different versions of a color in the US and Japan!

Take a look at just how different they are.  This is two coats over a base coat.

Maddening, isn't it?  It just makes me wonder what else has a little "JP" on it...

As usual, I have a strong preference for the Japanese version.  In two coats, it wasn't quite as opaque as I'd like it to be, so I layered it over two coats of Color Club Vintage Couture.  Here's the finished manicure.

Where did I get this little Japanese pretty, you ask?  I got it from sparkling*nails on ebay.  I just checked with her, and although none are listed right now, she'll be able to get her hands on a few more.  If you'd like one, contact her at sparklingnails@verizon.net for info to reserve one.

At least I can console myself that OPI didn't slip this one by me!  Until tomorrow, Dear Reader, love and nail polish to you!

EDIT: sparkling*nails has gotten in touch with me, and unfortunately she was only able to get one additional bottle of this for now, with the hopes of fanagaling a few more later.  Inititally, when I bought mine, she was told she'd be able to purchase a large quantity of them, but that fell through.  As a result, the remaining bottle is just going to be sold at auction.  I apologize for any disappointment or confusion my original statement may have caused you, Dear Reader.  I was working with the most recent facts I had, and in this case, they were outdated.  I am sorry.

Tiny Bottles!

Good morning, Dear Reader!  The stars did not align properly yesterday, and I'm still waiting for the something fabulous that I have coming.  As soon as it shows up, I'll show it to you.

Today I have two Nails of the Day pics for you with only one thing in common - they both have tiny, tiny bottles.

The first is one that I wanted forever, almost paid ridiculous ebay prices for, and then found recently for $0.33.  Happy day!  It's purple, it's sparkly, what more could I want?  It's L'Oreal Bijou Crystals in B. Brave.  Look at how tiny the bottle is!

The other is today's NOTD, which I may or may not Konad.  It's Dior Poison Blue, which cost more than $0.33, but is one spectacular blue.  It has a secret shimmer that only shows up in strong light, and is probably my darkest blue that still looks blue rather than black.  Here's another tiny bottle!

That's what I have for you today, Dear Reader.  Until next time, love and nail polish to you!
